Black Hippy group member Schoolboy Q isn't happy with the group's portrayal on the recent cover of "XXL" magazine.
In an interview with MTV News, Schoolboy calls the cover "disrespectful" because the headline attached to the group's cover photo reads "Kendrick Lamar and Black Hippy."
Apparently, Schoolboy and the other Black Hippy rappers went into the photoshoot as a group, not as "Kendrick With Black Hippy." While he's upset that the rest of the group members are constantly portrayed as tagging along behind Kendrick Lamar, he understands that "Kendrick is way ahead" of the rest of the group.
Schoolboy Q's comments echo a previous Twitter message from group member Ab-Soul, who threatened to remove himself from the group if the media kept referring to them as "Kendrick Lamar and Black Hippy."
